Thank you to Travelling Page Tours for hosting this book tour last week and to Margarita Barresi for sending me a FREE Paperback Copy with Goodies to Promote and Review for her.
This was my first time reading a Debut Novel by Margarita so i wasnt sure what to expect but i have to say BUT I have to say i really enjoyed this one especially learning about WHY The US made Puerto Rico a US Colony in The 1930s and learning about the history behind that decision.
The Characters were fun and enjoyable to read about. Normally im a BIG Fan of The Female Characters but this one i was a BIG Fan of Marco for many reasons ESPECIALLY his opinion on WHY The US was helping PR and i have to say i 100% Agree with him on it cause i NEVER thought it made sense.
The Setting was beautifully described which made me feel like i was actually in PR while reading, especially when the scenery was described.
The ONLY Thing i wish Margarita had included in this one was a Translation Guide for The Spanish Poems for those of us who DO NOT Speak Spanish.
I do wish this was part of a series cause i'd love to see how Isabela and Marco's lives were in the 1940s-2010s.
Overall a Very Informative Book about a Wealthy Woman who falls for a Low Income Man who is trying to start a better life for themselves in PR despite Political Turmoil.
Can't wait to read more by Margarita in the future!!
My reading blog will consist of my latest book reviews, bookmail, booktube videos etc
