Review for Run Rose Run by Dolly Parton and James Patterson

May be an image of 1 person and text that says 'DOLLY PARTON and JAMES PATTERSON RUN ROSE RUN *BookClub Book Club Book of the Yeer 2022 ALBUMOF 12ORIGINAL DOLLY PARTON SONGS FROM THENOVEL!'
Rating: 3.5 Stars!!
Review:
This was only the 2nd Novel ive read by James Patterson and while this one was better then "The Beach House"  it still lacked story building in Chapters 19-29 where NOTHING happened just alot of back and forth with 3 Characters which made it very boring and had NO Thrillers aspects in it.

On a side note, i did enjoy the story consept taken from Dolly's REAL LIFE Journey to Country Music Stardom.

The Characters were fun and enjoyable to read about. Annielee and Ruthanna were definately my favorites and reminded me alot of Abc's Nashville.

The Setting was beautifully described which made me feel like i was actually in Nashville, Tennessee while reading especially when the scenery was described.

Overall an OK Contemporary Thriller but wished there was more Thriller aspects to it. I will read more by James in the future but hope its better then "The Beach House" and this one was.

Review for The Girls in the Picture by Melanie Benjamin

May be an image of text that says 'GIRLS The PICTURE IN THE BENJAMIN BESTSELLING LI AU U MELANIE ANIE'
Rating: 3 Stars!!
Review:
As you all know for the most part Historical Fiction is My Jam, My comfort Genre etc BUT there is always that 5 % percent chance where i find a HF book that just doesnt grab me the way it should, well this book is THAT Book that didnt do that for me because i expected so much more from this book then what i got which was a BIG Disappointment for me.

The Characters were OK but not very likeable especially when some of them kept arguing with each other which i felt took away from what the book was about.

The Setting was OK too but had very little descriptiveness about where it was set.

Overall an OK Historical Fiction but could of been so much better. I will read more by Melanie in the future i just hope her other books are better then this one was.

Review for Born in Fire (Born in Trilogy #1) by Nora Roberts

May be an image of text that says 'YORK FIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR NORA ROBERTS BORN in FIRE ONE ·o-n TRAOOY'
Rating: 5 Stars!!
Review:
As most of you know ive been a fan of Nora Roberts Books for close to 10 years now and this series was no different even tho it was the 4th series ive read by her and a close Top 5 Spot with Bride Quartet Series still holding strong at #1 on My Favorite Contemporaries List.

This was i really enjoyed because of the background of The Sisters and Ireland that i felt Nora did a really good job with her research to get all the facts correct opposed to just writing a story about a family in Ireland.

The Characters were fun and enjoyable to read about. I havent picked a favorite of mine yet because its still too early for me to tell who's my favorite but hopefully in Book 2 and 3 ill have one.

The Setting was beautifully described which made me feel like i was actually in Ireland while reading, especially when the scenery was mentioned.

Overall a Phenomenally Written Book 1 in this Born Series!! Can't wait to read Book 2 soon!!

Review for Take One (Above the Line #1; The Baxters #15) by Karen Kingsbury

May be an image of digital audio player and text that says 'Back 00:00 0% -10:10:23 KAREN KINGSBURY #INEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR The Baxters Take One 15 15 Chapter 1 TABLE OF CONTENTS 25m 00:00 01:00'
Rating: 5 Stars!!
Review:
This was only the 1st ive read in the Above the Line and 3rd in the Baxters Series so i wasnt sure what to expect but i have to say i really enjoyed this one.

The Characters were fun and enjoyable to read about. Bailey, Andie, Tim and Keith were definately my favorites. I really loved how each of their story was surrounded by their Faith in God which is what everyones lives should be based on.

The Setting was beautifully described which made me feel like i was actually in Indiana while reading especially when the scenery was described.

Overall a Phenomenal Book 1 and 15 of Above the line and The Baxters!! Can't wait to read more by Karen in the future!!

Review for Underneath the Fireflies by Marianne Scott

May be an image of text that says 'MARIANNE SCOTT Author A of Finding Ruby Draker, Shadows in the Aftermath, and Reinhardt Underneath ATHRILLER the Fireilies'
Rating: 4 Stars!!
Review:
Thank you to Marianne for this picking me to participate in this Paid Promotion Book Tour this week hosted by Bookinfluencers and for the FREE Arc Copy to promote and review for her.

This was my first time reading a Paranormal Thriller let alone by Marianne so i wasnt sure what to expect but i have to say i liked it for the most part except for the long pages and short chapters. I felt like this book had good momentum but then lost it in Chapter 11 when it took too long to mention the murder.

The Characters were fun and enjoyable to read about. Grace seemed like a nice character but i wish she had told her friends and family about the wolves telling her to solve a murder instead of waiting til Chapter 11 to say something.

The Setting was OK but could of been more clear since there were so many cities mentioned in this book.

Overall a Good Paranormal Thriller but could of been better. I will read more by Marianne in the future just hope her other books arent like this one was.

Review for Keeping Janie (Southport Series #2) by SR Fabrico

 Rating: 5 Stars!!

Review:

Thank you to S R Fabrico for picking me to participate in this #paidpromotion Book Tour hosted by Bookinfluencers.com this week and for the FREE ARC Copy to promote and review for her.

This Book was such a Rollercoaster Ride with so many Plot Twists especially that last one OMG How?! Just HOW?! Ugh My Heart breaks for Janie and Josh which makes me feel impatient for Book 3 this Summer because that was just so shocking to read.

The Characters were fun and enjoyable to read about. Lizzie, Janie and Josh were definately my favorites I loved their connections to each other and how they tried to handle everything best they could. I felt for Josh when he dealt with his Dad's illness but didnt see the need for him to push Lizzie away.

The Setting was beautifully described which made me feel like i was actually in Southport, North Carolina especially when the scenery was described.

DO NOT READ BELOW THIS IF YOU DONT WANT SPOILERS!!!

I loved how SR included Discussion Questions at the end of the book so here's my Answers:

The Scene that stuck with me the most was when L and J were arguing when L accidentally slept over at G's. I saw both of them messed up with that situation so it could of played out better.

Least Favorite Scene was when L got drunk while at dinner with G cause there was a moment when they could of accidentally been intimate if G hadnt backed off.

When L got blank by C that really made me cry as hard as J was crying.

I did not expect the ending i thought L would get happiness.

For an Alternate Ending i wouldnt of killed off L i would of extended that scene where L is taken to the hospital they do S and L slowly recovers by Book 3. I mean L was a character who was happy then all of a sudden L is S and K it was a bit of a letdown especially when the reader is rooting for L.

In the beginning i didnt but as the story went on it did see G grow as a person and do better.

Yes i do believe G and J needed to stay in Southport.

I really hope L will return in Book 3 but i have my doubts after that ending.

I think J will help The D's to find C and make sure C is sent to a HSP with no chance of P and J will get J back and i'd like to see a Time Jump of how J is doing with S and L after losing L.

Overall a Phenomenal Book 2 in this Contemporary Romantic Suspense Series!! Can't wait to read Book 3 when it comes out this Summer.

Review for Call Her Janie (Southport Series #1) by SR Fabrico

Rating: 5 Stars!!
Review:
This was my first time reading a Contemporary Romantic Suspense by SR Fabrico so i wasnt sure what to expect but i have to say i really enjoyed this one since it had me on the edge of my seat the whole time especially with the way she opened The Prologue cause i was not expecting that Twist so early on.

The Characters were fun and enjoyable to read about. Lizzie was definately my favorite cause i really felt for her after everything she went through from losing her job to moving in with her Brother and Sister-in-Law to meeting a Guy she thought was nice and caring to finding out he's a Manipulsator. I hope she finds Happiness in Book 2 cause she deserves it.

The Setting was beautifully described which made me feel like i was actually in Southport, North Carolina while reading especially when the scenery of The Town was described.

Overall a Phenomenal Edge of Your Seat Contemporary Romantic Suspense by SR!! Can't wait to read Book 2 soon!!

Since i read all 3 Books of Jonny's i have to say "The Limestone Manor is my Top Favorite with this one as a close 2nd.

The Characters were fun and enjoyable to read about. Clive and Dale were my favorites since i enjoyed their witty banter between them.

The Setting was beautifully described which made me feel like i was actually in the middle of a city in The Atlantic Ocean especially when the scenery was described.

Overall a Good Political Fiction Novel. Can't wait to read more by Jonny in the future!!

Thank you to Travelling Pages for sending me this FREE Complimentary EBook to promote and review for Jonny as part of his Spotlight Tour last week.

Even tho this was only the 2nd Novel ive read by Jonny i have to say i really enjoyed this one alot more then i did "Ash and Sun".

This was one reminded me alot of Agatha Christie's "Murder on the Orient Express" meets "Death in the Air" but with a Canadian Train Twist.

The Characters were fun and enjoyable to read about. Cliff wasnt my favorite at first but as the story continued i really started to like his character by the end.

The Setting was beautifully described which made me feel like i was actually in Ontario while reading especially when the scenery was described.

Overall a Wonderfully written Mystery!! Can't wait to read more by Jonny in the future!!

Review for Ash & Sun by Jonny Thompson

May be a graphic of text that says 'ASH & SUN JONNY THOMPSON'
Rating: 4 Stars!!
Review:
Thank you to TravellingPages for hosting Jonny's Books in This Spotlight Tour this week.

This was my first time reading a Science Fiction Mystery by him so i wasnt sure what to expect but i have to say it was just OK for me and came off as very disappointing since there was NO Mystery in this book whatsoever.

The Characters were interesting to read about. Jens was OK but Ali was my favorite.

The Setting was beautifully described which made me feel like i was actually in Pittsburgh while reading especially when the scenery was described.

Overall an OK SciFi Mystery but could of been so much better. I will read more by Jonny in the future but hope his other books arent like this one was.

Review for Familia by Lauren E Rico

Rating: 5 Stars!!
Review:
Thank you to Kensington Publishing for picking me to win this FREE ARC in a giveaway on their website late last year.

This was my first time reading a Fiction Novel by Lauren E Rico so i wasnt sure what to expect but i have to say i throughly enjoyed this Book from Beginning to End. The Amount of Research and History Lauren included in this story was absolutely breathtaking to read.

The Characters were fun and enjoyable to read about. Gabby was definately my favorite even tho she was hesitant at first after receiving her DNA Test Results.

The Setting was beautifully desctibed which made me feel like i was actually in the book while reading especially when the scenery of NYC and Puerto Rico were described.

Overall a Phenomenal Fiction Novel about 2 Women who took a DNA Test for Work Research just to find out they MIGHT be Long-Lost Sisters. I do wish this was part of a series because i'd LOVE to see their relationship as Sisters evolve.

Can't wait to read more by Lauren in the future!!

Rating: 4.5 Stars!!
Review:
This was my first time reading a Contemporary Novel by Maggie so i wasnt sure what to expect but i have to say i expected it to be so much better then what it was.

I felt like i had to rate it 4.5 which to be honest is abit too generous since The Storyline didnt pick up til Chapter 5 which was disappointing and there was NO Contemporary Element in it but more of a Historical Time Travel Novel with 15 Different Characters, 4 Different Countries and 3 Different States spanning 72 years from 1944 til 2016 which at times was VERY Confusing so in a way this book should of been part of a series with several different books souly based on each Character.

The Characters were fun and enjoyable to read about. Claudette, Marithe, Lenny, Lucas,Teresa, Maeve,Ari, Nicola and Rosalind were all my favorites and i did love the way their stories intertwined with each other even tho it became confusing at times.

The Setting was beauitfully described which made me feel like i was actually in all the different countries and states through the time eras.

Overall an OK Contemporary Novel but could of been so much better. I will read more by Maggie in the future but hope all her other books are better then this one was.

Review for The Giver (The Giver #1) by Lois Lowry

May be an image of text that says 'THE GIVER LOIS LOWRY'
Rating: 2.5 Stars!!
Review:
This was my first time reading a Classic YA by Lois so i wasnt sure what to expect but i have to say i expected so much more.

The Characters were OK but was hard to like any of them since they all complained about something which i felt took way from the storyline.

The Setting was OK but not very descriptive.

Overall an OK Classic YA. I will read more by Lois in the future but i just hope her other books arent like this one was.

Review for Michievous Creatures by Catherine McNeur

Thank you to Seal Press for sending me this FREE Complimentary Hardcover Copy about The First 2 Caucasian Women Botany Scientists as part of their Ambassadors Program.

Before I Read this book i had never before heard about The Morris Sisters which i think is why i throughly enjoyed reading about them so much. Yes Normally i dont read much Nonfiction/Memoir Books but there was something about this one that drew my interest.

I loved all the research that Catherine did from The Morris Sisters Childhood to Teen Years and to their move to Germantown PA and the mention of The Civil War and John Brown. This book had everything and more.

I loved learning about the History of Flowers and Plants and why certain insects feast on them in The Fall when Botany Growing is pretty much over.

I can't wait to read more by Catherine in the future!!

The Characters were fun and enjoyable to read about. Camille was definately my favorite especially since ive never read a Romance with Interior Design as a Profession.

The Setting was beautifully described which made me feel like i was actually in Mississippi while reading especially when the scenery was described.

Overall a Beautifully Written Romance. Can't wait to read more by Sandra in the future!!

Thank you to Librarything for picking me to win this FREE Copy in  their November 2023 Early Reviewers Giveaway last year.

This was my first time reading a Time Travel Fantasy by Terry and Carol so i wasnt sure what to expect but i have to say i throughly enjoyed this one more then i thought i would.

The Characters were fun and enjoyable to read about. Dan Freddie and Charell were definately my favorites especially Dan when he got comically upset that every time he hear a Beatles Song he would time travel to a different Time Era.

The Setting was beautifully described which made me feel like i was actually in the book with Dan while time traveling especially when the scenery was described.

I do wish this was part of a series cause i'd love to see what other adventures Dan Freddie and Chanelle would go on.

Can't wait to read more by Terry and Carol in the future!!

Review for Death Comes in through the Kitchen (Havana Mysteries #1) by Teresa Dovalpage

May be an image of text that says 'Teresa Dovalpage DEATH MYSTERY CUBAN comes through the KITCHEN ..... lively murder mystery with Cuban culinary wist, Cristina Garcia, author of Dreaming n Cuban'
Rating: 3.5 Stars!!
Review:
This was my first time reading a Mystery in a Series by Teresa so i wasnt sure what to expect but i have to say i wasnt sure what to expect but i have to say it was just OK for me.

I enjoyed learning about Cuban Culture and Cuisine but i felt like it was missing something by Chapter 4 cause it seemed to start to disconnect from what the story was about which is why i felt i could only rate to 3.5 Stars!!

The Characters were fun to read about tho were hard to like especially with the language barrier.

The Setting was beautifully described especially when the scenery of Cuba was described.

Overall an OK Book 1 in this Mystery Series!! I will read more by Teresa and in this series but i just hope the other books arent like this one was.
