Review for Rich and Pretty by Rumaan Alam

May be an image of 2 people, book and text that says 'RICH and PRETTY a novel "The perfect summer read. RUMAAN Pitch perfect and wise. -ELLE ALAM'
Rating: 1 Star!!
Review:
I picked this book up at Dollar Tree last year thinking i'd give a "NEW" Author a try but sadly i wish i hadnt cause in this book The Sisters CONSTANTLY complain about each other and very little was told of the storyline.

The Characters were OK but wasnt very enjoyable cause they were always talking nonsense etc about each other.

The Setting was OK but didnt tell much about The State of NY that it is set in.

Overall an OK Contemporary Novel, but ive read better!! I dont think i'll read anymore by this author anytime soon!!

Review for Until Leaves Fall in Paris by Sarah Sundin

May be an image of 1 person, book and text that says 'until LEAVES fall in PARIS arose/'
Rating: 5 Stars!!

Review:
Thank you to Revell for sending me this FREE ARC COPY to review for them!!

This was the 3rd book ive read by Sarah so i kind of knew what to expect even tho each of her books are different but once again i LOVED the story so much for so many reasons!!

The Characters were so enjoyable to read about. My Favorites were Lucie and Paul, i loved theor storylines and connection to each other.

The Setting was beautifully described which made me feel like i was actually in 1940s Paris while reading.

Loved the lessons this book taught as well about not judging people by how they look or what job they have but really getting to know them opposed to listening to what others say about the person and to NEVER let your family background stop you from being friends with other cultures.

Overall a Phenomenal Historical Fiction set in Paris during WW1!! Can't wait to read more by Sarah in the future!!

Review:
Another great one by Sarah Dessen!!  I read the audiobook version of it which i never did before with Sarah's books but i have to say i loved it more than if i read the physical copy.

The Characters were so interesting and loveable!! Emma and her mom were my favorites. I loved reading about their relationship and how it wasnt always perfect.

The Setting was beautifully described which made me feel like i was actually in north lake while reading.

Overall a Phenomenal YA Novel by Sarah!! Can't wait to read more by her in the future!!

Review for America's First Daughter by Stephanie Dray and Laura Kamoie

May be an image of 1 person, book and text that says 'must read.' LLISONPA ATAK BESTSELLING AUTHOR NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER AMERICA' FIRST DAUGHTER STEPHANIE DRAY LAURA ΚΑΜΟΙΕ TmL A NOVEL ARI FROM MONTICELLO TO JEFFERSON'S WHITE HOUSE, SHE SHAPED THE LEGACY OF A NATION... P.S. INSIGHTS, INTERVIEWS &MORE...'
Rating: 5 Stars!!
Review:
This was my first time reading a book by Stephanie Dray and Laura Kamoie so i wasnt sure what to expect but since it's about Thomas Jefferson's life and times it had me intrigued.

The Characters were interesting to read about. Patsy and William were my favorites. I was shocked about the things Thomas did back then but im not sure if that's accurate or if an emphasis was put on by the publisher and author or not.

The Setting was beautifully described which made me feel like i was actually in July 1826-February 1830.

Overall a very well told book about The Reveloution back then, i dont know that everything was accurate but it seemed like it. Can't wait to read more by Stephanie and Laura in the future!!

Review for Daisy Darker by Alice Feeney

May be an image of book and text that says 'NEW NE YORK TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR OF ROCK PAPER SCISSORS ALICE FEENEY DAISY DARKER A NOVEL ADVANCE READING COPY AUGUST 2022 NOT FOR SALE'
Rating: 4.5 Stars!!
Review:
Thank you to Goodreads and Flatiron Books for picking me to win this FREE ARC COPY in a giveaway a few months ago. It was VERY Hard for me to rate this because 2 aspects of it left me divided.

Since this was my first time reading a Novel by Alice Feeney i wasnt sure what to expect. Reading other peoples thoughts about this author left me conflicted some love her other books and others felt they had to DNF them which now i can kind of see why.

The Characters were interesting to say the least. I wouldnt say that i have a favorite since all the characters came off as dysfunctional and seemed all over the place.

The Setting was interesting since ive never read a Thriller set in Seaglass before. I will say since some reviews say its similar to Agatha Christie's "And Then There Were None" i can see the consept is but not the whole story.

Overall it was a Good Thriller but not the best since it seemed too repetitive at times with describing the story and what the characters were saying. I will read more by Alice in the future but i just hope all her books arent like this one.

Review for The Devil's Half Acre: The Untold Story of How One Woman Liberated The South's Most Notorious Slave Jail by Kristen Green

May be an image of book and text that says 'The Devil's HalfAcre Half Acre THE UNTOLD STORY OF HOW ONE WOMAN LIBERATED THE SOUTH'S MOST NOTORIOUS SLAVE JAIL KRISTEN GREEN NEW YORK TIMES-BESTSELLING AUTHOR OF SOMETHING MUST BE DONE ABOUT PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY'
***I was not Obligated to write a review. Thoughts and Feelings are ALL MY OWN and no one forced me to word it this way.***
Rating: 3.5 Stars!!
Review:
This was my first time reading a book by Kristen Green so i wasnt sure what to expect, I did enjoy this book til Chapter 10 then it left me very disappointed,

The Characters were interesting to read about, Mary Lumpkin's life was very interesting to me tho ive always been interested and intrigued learning about life during and after The Civil War Era.

The Setting was beautifully described which made me feel like i was actually in Richmond, VA while reading. I have been through that area a few years ago when on vacation in Virginia with my parents but never stopped there.

Overall it was an OK Book to read BUT i would of loved it if Kristen had explored more into the 1890s to Early 1900s instead of skipping from 1890 to 2020s otherwise i would of rated it 5 Stars!!

IF you are wanting to learn the true story about the Civil War PLEASE go visit Gettysburg PA, Manassas VA, Harpers Ferry and Sharpsburg MD.

Review of Elinor (Daughter's of the Lost Colony ) by Shannon McNear

Rating: 3 Stars!!
Review:
Thank you to Barbour Publishing for picking me to receive this as part of their Review Crew a Few Months ago!!

This was my first time reading a Book by Shannon so i wasnt sure what to expect but i have to say i was a little disappointed since most of it was describing life back then instead of telling the story.

The Characters were interesting. I loved Elinor's story and background found it very interesting.

The Setting was interesting. Loved Learning about the history of The Virginia Colony before Virginia became part of the 50 States of The US.

Overall it was an OK Book but would of liked more of the story being told opposed to the description of the story!!

Review for Holding The Dream (The Dream Trilogy #2) by Nora Roberts

 Rating: 1 Star!!
Review:
Did i really just rate a Nora Roberts Book 1 Star?! Sadly Yes i did. To be fair this was the 2nd book in this series that ive read so that might have something to do with it too but at any rate, i disliked this one very much!!

The Characters were OK but i could not stand how a few of them constantly argued with each other which i think is why i didnt enjoy one so much.

The Setting was OK but could of been better described.

Overall an OK Book 2 in this series but could of been way better!! Not sure i'll read more in this series but i do plan to read more by Nora in the future!!
