This was my first time reading a Historical Fantasy by Christina so i wasnt sure what to expect but i have to say i really loved learning about the rich history of Italy, Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius.
The Characters were fun and enjoyable to read about. I really felt for Caterina and her 3 year old daughter as they recovered from marital and paternal abuse as a result of them fleeing to Italy where they meet Connor a scientist looking into research about Mount Vesuvius.
The Setting was beautifully described which made me feel like i was actually in Italy while reading, especially when the scenery was described.
Overall a Phenomenal Historical Fantasy Set in Italy!! Can't wait to read more by Christina in the future!!
