Review for The Worst Duke in the World (The Penhallow Dynasty #5) by Lisa Berne

 Rating: 5 Stars!!
Review:
This was my first time reading a Historical Romance by this author so i wasnt sure what to expect so i wasnt sure what to expect but i enjoyed it tho i have to say if you enjoy Romance Novels you might be disappointed with this one.

The Characters were entertaining and funny especially Wakefield, while the book never mentioned how old he is, he came across as a funny 5-7 year old boy.

The Setting was beautifully described which made me feel like i was actually in Somerset County England in 1817 since it was so easy to picture the scenery mentioned about England.

As for the Genre part of this book, it's very deceiving that it's listed as a Romance and published by a Romance Publisher since there was NO Romance til Chapter 11-21 so if you are a fan of The Romance Genre, you will be VERY Disappointed for the first 10 Chapters.

I love this book because for me being a fan of Historical Fiction i found it had the right amount of Historical Fiction especially when it mentioned my favorite Classic's Author and Book.

Overall a good Historical Fiction Book!! Can't wait to read more by Lisa in the Future!!

Review for Marley and Me by John Grogan

Rating: 5 Stars!!
Review:
This was my first time reading a book by John Grogan so i wasnt sure what to expect even tho ive seen the movie this book is based off of a few times  but have to say there is very few Non-Fiction Books that match  the Movie but this one was a success.

The Story had so many emotions which i think made for a good Non-Fiction Read especiall for me who isnt a big Non-Fiction fan.

Overall a Phenomenal Read!! If he writes more books like this, I will read more by him in the future!!

Review for The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas

 Rating: 5 Stars!!
Review:
Why did it take me so long to finally pick up this book to read?! I have no idea! One Word Describes this book: PHENOMENAL!!

The Characters seemed so perfect especially the Characters that you love to hate for so many reasons which i think helped make this classic a favorite for so many readers like myself.

The Setting was my favorite since many different countries and cities were mentioned throughout the book which made it easy to picture each one while reading and really made me feel like i was actually in those countries and cities while reading.

Overall a Phenomenal Classic Novel that should be a MUST READ for all readers no matter your Genre type.

Can't wait to read more by Alexandre Dumas in the future!!

Review for A Voice in the Wind (Mark of the Lion #1) by Francine Rivers

 Rating: 5 Stars!!
Review:
This was my first time reading a book by this author so i wasnt sure what to expect but i have to say i think this is my new favorite Christian Author.

The Characters were so interesting to read about. Some of them were hard to like but i think that's why it makes this such a good Christian Novel.

The Setting was beautifully described which made me feel like i was actually in Bible Times Jerusalem, Rome and Ephesus.

Overall a Phenomenal Christian Novel!! Can't wait to read Book 2 of this series and more books by Francine Rivers in the future!!

Review for The Escape Room by Megan Goldin

 Rating: 5 Stars!!
Review:
This was my first time reading a book by Megan so i wasnt sure what to expect but im glad this was a successful New to Me Author Read.

The Character Diversity is what i loved most cause not all Thriller's feature 8 Different Characteristics that arent the same which i think made this book even better.

The Setting was very interesting since ive never read about Wall Street Bankers and Investors before which i think was a good dynamic for a Thriller. I especially loved all The Twist and Turns as well as The Shocking Ending cause i did not expect said Character to be the Killer. To be honest i suspected Sylvie.

Overall a Phenomenal Thriller, tho i wish it was part of a series cause i'd loved to see how some of the Characters are doing now!!

Review for Notorious (Rebels of The Ton #1) by Minerva Spencer

 Rating: 2 Stars!!
Review:
Where do i even begin?! First off i love that it was set in 1800s London England since i normally love books that are set in that time era of that country but Sadly this one fell very flat for me.

Chapters 1-5 seemed like a waste with very little happening that didnt really feel like should of been part of the story. The Language from Chapters 6-21 was unnecessary which made it less interesting.

Chapters 21-27 were about The ONLY  interesting parts of this book which included a secret child and a kidnapping  which were The ONLY Highlights of this book.

To be Honest, Rating it 2 Stars is way too Genrous since this book was more Erotica Genre then it was Historical Fiction and Regency Fiction.

Not sure if i'll read Book 2!!

Review for Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo

 Rating: 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Review:
Another phenomenal book in this series by Leigh!! The Dedication Page really his home for me since i lost my dad 2 1/2 months ago!!

The Characters and Setting were still interesting to read about, i especially loved that God and Prayer were mentioned in the early chapters which is rarely mentioned in Fantasy Novels.

Overall a good ending to this series. Can't  wait to read more Book Series' by Leigh in the future!!

Hello All, Sorry for my Absence!!

Hello All, I know it's been a long time since i last posted on here so ill give you a short but quick update on everything!!

2021 seemed like an OK Year for me and my family til May 17 2021 hit when my Dad got sick with a terrible stomach ache which resulted Acute Severe Pancreatitis in him having multiple surgeries, stents etc to get his Digestive System back to normal or close to it.

After multiple hospitalizations in 3 different hospitals and another surgery to remove an infection he was moved to a "low level care facility" in NYC 7 hours from his family and friends who if they visited him could only visit for 1 hour due to COVID19 Restrictions.

Sadly on November 7th, My Father passed away unexpectedly. Ive taken his passing very hard as im close to BOTH my parents and wasnt something i ever expected to experience at the age of 31 years old.

Needless to say it's been a "Learning Curve" for me to Learn how to go on without my dad so the past 2 months have been an adjustment for me and my mom helping her with a bunch of stuff.

I havent picked up a book to read since November 7th so i do miss reading and just been waiting for that feeling to come back to me which i think it finally has so on February 1st i will return with my TBR Posts as well as Readathon Posts etc at my leisure since my Emotional state is still all over the place some days.

Thank you for your patience at this time!!
Sincerly,
Sheila at Sheila's Reading Corner.

Review for The Hotel Riviera by Elizabeth Adler

 Rating: 3.5 Stars!!
Review:
This was my first time reading a book by this author so im not sure if that's why i didnt enjoy this one as much as i thought i would or not.

The Characters were interesting to read about.

The Setting was beautifully described which made it easy to picture France while reading.

The Storyline was very Rollercoaster-like for me. The Beginning was too slow for me, The Middle was very interesting which left me intrigued, The Ending was too slow for me.

Overall an OK Read but not for me which i think is why i wont read more by this author in the future!!

Review for Made in Korea by Sarah Suk

Rating: 5 Stars!! (Wish i could rate it 10 Stars!!)
Review:
Thank you to Riveted by Simon Teen for picking me to win this book in their giveaway on their website a few months ago.

This was my first time reading a book by this author so i wasnt sure what to expect and might i say I loved it so much and it wont be my last read by Sarah Suk.

This was a cute, funny yet cheesy YA Read about 2 Korean Teenagers living in LA trying to start their own K-Pop Beauty Business while still in High School.

The Characters were so funny and interesting to read about especially about their culture and backgrounds.

The Setting was beautifully described especially when certain things were mentioned about Korea.

Overall a really good YA Novel featuring Koreans and i can't wait to read more by Sarah Suk in the future!!
